A self-service portal where patients view statements, set up autopay, and split balances — without calling the front desk and without exposing your PMS to the public internet.
What does patient portal pay include?
A branded, mobile-first portal with secure patient lookup, current and historical balances, statement PDFs, one-click pay, autopay enrollment, and self-service payment plans. Patients see only their own data; the portal calls our API, not your PMS directly.
How is autopay configured for healthcare balances?
Autopay debits the saved card or bank account on the statement date for the balance up to a patient-set cap. Patients receive a 7-day pre-charge SMS and email so they can dispute or pause before money moves — which keeps dispute rates under 0.3%.
How does the portal integrate with the PMS?
Bi-directional via EHR / PMS integration. The portal pulls balances on demand and posts payments back as 837/835-equivalent transactions so your billing team sees a clean ledger in the system they already use.
Can patients split a balance themselves?
Yes. Self-service payment plans let patients split balances above a threshold (typically $300) into 3–12 installments with the same card on file. Practice-set rules cap the maximum term and minimum monthly amount.
Frequently asked questions
How fast can you get approved?
Most healthcare practices are approved within 24 hours of complete application submission. Specialty MIDs (dental DSO, behavioral health groups, DME) may take 48–72 hours while underwriting reviews trailing statements and licensure.
What does it cost?
Interchange-plus pricing — typically 2.4% + $0.10 per card transaction with no setup fee and no monthly minimum. ACH is 0.5–1.0%. You see interchange cost, assessments, and our markup on a single itemized statement.
Is the platform HIPAA-compliant?
Yes. We sign a BAA, tokenize all card and bank data before it touches your systems, and segregate PHI from payment metadata. EHR / PMS integrations move only the minimum necessary data for posting.
