Bi-directional integration with Epic, Athena, Kareo, Dentrix, eClinicalWorks, AdvancedMD, NextGen, Practice Fusion, OpenDental, Eaglesoft, and 40+ other practice-management systems — payments post automatically to the patient ledger.
What does EHR / PMS integration actually do?
Three things. First, it pulls patient balances and eligibility into the payment workflow so the receptionist sees what to charge. Second, it posts every payment back to the patient ledger so your billing team never double-keys. Third, it surfaces card-on-file and payment-plan status inside the PMS so the front desk works in one tool.
Which systems are supported?
Medical: Epic, Athena, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, AdvancedMD, Kareo, Practice Fusion, DrChrono, Greenway, Allscripts, Cerner Ambulatory. Dental: Dentrix, OpenDental, Eaglesoft, Curve, Carestream. Vet: Avimark, Cornerstone, ImproMed, IDEXX Neo. Behavioral: TheraNest, SimplePractice, TherapyNotes.
How is the integration built?
Native FHIR / HL7 integrations where the EHR supports them; REST API connectors elsewhere; and certified app-marketplace listings for Epic App Orchard and Athena Marketplace. Setup typically completes in 2–4 weeks including UAT.
What data flows across the integration?
Only minimum-necessary fields. Inbound from the PMS: patient ID, encounter ID, balance amount, eligibility response. Outbound to the PMS: transaction ID, amount, date, posting status. Diagnosis codes and clinical data never traverse the integration.
Frequently asked questions
How fast can you get approved?
Most healthcare practices are approved within 24 hours of complete application submission. Specialty MIDs (dental DSO, behavioral health groups, DME) may take 48–72 hours while underwriting reviews trailing statements and licensure.
What does it cost?
Interchange-plus pricing — typically 2.4% + $0.10 per card transaction with no setup fee and no monthly minimum. ACH is 0.5–1.0%. You see interchange cost, assessments, and our markup on a single itemized statement.
Is the platform HIPAA-compliant?
Yes. We sign a BAA, tokenize all card and bank data before it touches your systems, and segregate PHI from payment metadata. EHR / PMS integrations move only the minimum necessary data for posting.
